 Our former pastor has retired and we are in the process of searching for a pastor.  A search committee has been formed to call a pastor to lead and guide this church in worship and in service.

Children/Youth Minister

Heather Miller


Heather Miller is our Director of Children's and Youth Ministries. She has the fun challenge of using her degrees in education and music to write and direct children's musicals, as well as to find new and creative ways to teach the gospel to youth. Her job keeps her hopping from teaching arts and crafts to preschoolers to hosting youth Bible studies at her house. When she is not hanging out with kids at First Pres, she can be found in a high school gym watching her son play basketball or facetiming her daughter, who is a student at the University of Kansas. A native New Mexican, Heather loves hiking in the mountains, but has found a love for the beach in her adopted state of North Carolina.

OFFICE ADMINISTRATION

Nancy Bass

 

Nancy Bass is our Buisness Manager since 2022. She has 3 children and 2 grandchildren. She's been married to Chip Bass who is a bi-vocational minister at Asbury United Methodist Church. In her spare time I like to read and swim.

Kristin Newberry

 

Kristin Newberry is our Secretary since 2019. When not working she can be found at the bowling alley or in a dance studio with her 4 children.

MUSIC STAFF

Allen Lloyd

 

Allen Lloyd is the Director of Traditional Music and organist and has served in the Music Ministry at FPC for over 40 years. He is also the Dircector of Accounting and Human Resources at Wesley Pines in Lumberton and enjoys spending his spare time at the beach.

Kristin McCarthy

 

Kristin McCarthy is Co-Director of our contemporary worship. Kristin is married to "MaCa", has 2 chilren and works as a Certified Finiancial Planner.

Nursery Staff

Amanda Hooks


Amanda Hooks is our Nursery Director. Amanda loves camping, going to the beach, and hanging by the pool with her husband and 2 daughters.


House Keeper

Renee Powers

 

Renee Powers has been working the WDS since 2022. She is now our new housekeeper also. She has 4 children.She loves her family and coffee.

 

 

Building Superivsor

Weekday School Director

Mark Ransom

 

Mark Ransom is our buidling supervisor for 32 years. He enjoys ministering to others, visiting the sick, and spending quality porch time with his family.

Cyndy Inman

 

Cyndy Inman has been Weekday School Director for 11 years. She looks forward to watching the children learn and grow each year. In her free time you can find her at the beach with her daughters and grandchildren.
